Occupier satisfaction and wellbeing
Working with our occupiers is at the heart of what we do, both to understand their needs and to meet their current and future requirements, and to work collaboratively to strive to reduce our environmental impact.
Support: The new business hub at Angel Gate, London, was launched in December 2021 and has proved to be popular. Occupiers have been using it to host seminars, meetings and team events which they were less able to arrange in their own space and would otherwise have to go to other locations to facilitate. Sustainability: We have begun to hold sustainability workshops with some of our occupiers. Topics covered in the workshops include landlord and occupier sustainability strategies, low carbon technologies e.g. solar panels, EV charging and LED lighting, green building certification, EPCs and data sharing. We will also be hosting a sustainability webinar in June for our occupiers.
We continue to look for ways to improve our occupiers’ experience. Our Picton Promise was created to bring together the five main commitments to our occupiers: Action, Community, Technology, Support and Sustainability. Examples of how we put these commitments into practice are: Action: We called in to meet all of our occupiers at Madleaze and Mill Place Industrial Estates – our new acquisitions in Gloucester – to introduce ourselves and get their feedback on what they would like to see at the estates and how we could help them. This hands on, personal approach was different to what they had experienced from their previous landlords and was well received and appreciated by them. Community: We arranged a series of occupier focused events at Colchester Business Park, Colchester and Angel Gate, London including weekly workshops, fitness classes and pop-up events. Technology: We have rolled out our new occupier apps at Angel Gate, London and Colchester Business Park, Colchester and plan to introduce more at other buildings during 2022.
