Occupier satisfaction and wellbeing continued

During the year we continued to maintain regular contact with our occupiers through measures such as our occupier meetings and ensured all of our office buildings remained fully accessible on a Covid-19 compliant basis. We issued information packs during the year to our office occupiers. The purpose of these was to help our occupiers plan for their staff to return to the office following the pandemic. The packs were tailored to each individual office building and provided information about: — What specific Covid-19 safe measures were in place at the building such as extra cleaning, signage, enhanced operation of air conditioning systems, visitor arrangements and risk assessments/written down safety procedures. — Any improvements or changes made in the building during lockdown, for example, improvements to air conditioning or redecorations/ refurbishments. — Changes in the local neighbourhood, such as new shops or cafés or local amenities useful for returning staff to know about — How we and our agents could provide specific help with occupiers returning to the office. The impact of the pandemic has seen changes in working patterns and we wanted to reassure occupiers that we can adjust building operations to handle this by changing opening hours, adjusting system running times, providing facilities for more cyclists or improving broadband speeds.

The completion of our new business hubs at Angel Gate, London and Longcross, Cardiff have allowed us to provide more flexible services to offer occupiers at these locations. We have recently launched our two new occupier engagement apps at Colchester Business Park, Colchester and Angel Gate, London, which will help us to improve the effectiveness of our communication at these locations. A particular feature of these apps is the ability to promote events programmes which are arranged for occupiers at their buildings. For example, at Colchester there were weekly workshops, classes and pop-up events held in the amenity area outside the Crescent including:

— Yoga — Fitness bootcamps — Ceramics, craft and flower workshops — Street food The apps also allow us to advertise the facilities available to occupiers which include visitor bookings, building news, local offers, and discounts available on site at Angel Gate, London and Colchester Business Park, for example, at the restaurant, café and hairdressers.

We have also run sustainability focused workshops with some of our largest occupiers to assist their own sustainability strategies. We have been very pleased with the outcomes of these workshops which have identified a number of measures that will benefit both parties, as well as helping increase our occupier data coverage.
